Summary

The site of a Royal Observer Corps monitoring post. The site was built as part of an extensive network of posts designed to confirm and report hostile aircraft and nuclear attacks on the United Kingdom. It was constructed after the Second World War and closed in October 1968. The post was blown up two years after the closure by the landowner. It was located underground on the south side of a field boundary 100 yards west of a road, south of Banbury Lane.

{2} The site of a Royal Observer Corps monitoring post. The site was built as a part of an extensive network of posts designed to confirm and report hostile aircraft and nuclear attacks on the United Kingdom. At the Defence of Britain survey the site was found to have been destroyed.
