Full Description
{2} Two linear ditches cut across the margins of the central area of mound 1. An east-west ditch 1.0-1.5m wide x 0.20m deep, contained a single rim sherd of medieval pottery. The ditch was on the same alignment as the pit alignment, but also as the ridge and furrow. Ditch 2 was 0.85m wide x 0.30m deep. It would have cut across the former barrow mound, showing no respect for its presence. No dating evidence was obtained but the ditch was on the alignment of a post-medieval boundary.
