Full Description

{1} Substantial deposit of medieval floor tiles, pottery, nails, bone, limestone and ironstone fragments, pebbles and shells were recovered from sump in churchyard; this may be the result of a deliberate levelling up process or disposal of building debris. The churchyard has been significantly raised above the surrounding landscape.

{2} The drainage trench and soakaway spoil contained numerous fragments of disarticulated human bone and small quantities of modern building material.
