Full Description

{1} Owner from 29th September 1912 John Clark (Ironstone Merchant and Shoe Manufacturer). Clark obtained wayleave from Wellingborough Iron Co. to lay a tramway to the Stanton Finedon Hill Farm quarries. The quarries lay to the northwest side of South Hill farm. In the first place CLARK obtained a lease for ironstone workings at Southhill farm but later obtained permission to work north of sidegate lane. It is believed that the quarries were closed in 1926.
