Full Description

{1}David Blackburn visited Breydon, The Avenue, Dallington and was told that a culvert ran under the garden at the rear and was shown around a raised bed, possibly an old well head situated 3 metres from the back wall of the house.,

{2}Anecdotal report to D Blackburn (about incident approx 1945). 143 Weedon Road "My father asked me to assist him in burying some rubbish in his garden. We found water in a triangular covered culvert. My father told the man, who told some officials who called. They asked to see the culvert. Of course my father was always digging up old bones on the site. The officials asked permission to put some dye down in the source of the water which was said to come from Dr Barnardos home at 13 The avenue, Dallington. This was done and said to be so. The water was said to run to Peverell Abbey / St James abbey and under their latrines.
