Full Description

{1} The recovery of fragments of early-mid Saxon pottery from large vessels from ditch (2706) and pit (2704) indicate the presence of Saxon activity on the site. The nature of this activity is possibly domestic. The large pots have parallels in an isolated sunken floored building at Crick, Northamptonshire.

{3} An oval pit, 2.34m long by 1.44m wide with a subcircular pit 1.08m long and 0.88m wide close by. Further to the westwas another pit. Further to the north were two more pits.
