Full Description

{1} Several pits and ditches were identified in trench 40. Although they produced no dating evidence the likelihood of them being of Saxon origin is quite high given the recovery of Saxon pottery during fieldwalking. There was little evidence to suggest the nature of this occupation but, perhaps, a small agricultural settlement is likely.
