Summary
Flight of strip lynchets on hillside above Woodford Halse, a rare survival for Northamptonshire. They comprise three contour lynchets curviving round the slope, truncated to the west by a railway cutting. On the hillside above is ridge and furrow.

Full Description
{1} Immediately S. of the village, on a steep N.W. facing hillside of Upper Lias Clay, is a flight of strip lynchets , a rare survival in Northamptonshire. These comprise three contour strip lynchets, curving round the slope. with risers up to 2.5 m. high and treads up to 10. wide. The E. ends extend onto the adjacent hillside, and are truncated by the railway cutting to the west. On the hillside above is normal ridge-and-furrow.
