Full Description

{1} Wellingborough News 1st October 1897 page 8 (adapted E. Jenkins Nov, 1996). As workmen were digging at A Dunsmore's Ironstone pits near Hanging Hill they came across human remains fifteen inches beneath the surface. Mostly bits as destroyed due to agriculture. The teeth still survived. Thought to be in a coffin with 12 half burnt clay rings, six on either side. Nearby was a Roman style pot. Uncertain what the rings were used for.
