Full Description
{1} Farmer discovered a hollowed out tree trunk in pond on his land. Unclear what the purpose of the 'conduit' (as it appears to be) was. It appears to have been shaped and has three holes one of which has been stopped up. After further consideration it was decided that the find was a field culvert made of wood. It has parallels in the Shire Book of Fields, Hedges and Ditches.
