Full Description

{1} The war saw the park requisitioned by the army; Nissen huts were built in the Frame Yard and these and the house (cSP7015/4927) were used for convalescence. The war did not cause much damage to the park. Note also that some of the buildings on the racecourse were used as army storage for maps.
