Full Description

{1} No further traces of buildings were revealed "….beyond 2 or 3 distinct foundations…."; foundations ran beneath road at 1 point;

{2} Isolated post holes recorded in some of the smaller excavations and observations elsewhere within the town (e.g. 3957/0/9 and 3957/0/10) suggest that timber buildings were probably widespread.
