Full Description
{1} At c.TL00088496 is a white triangle with a projecting arm pointing north. The triangle is very approximately 20m long. Three small dark features (gaps?) within the feature. Possible aerial bombing range marker or indicator? Linear feature (footpath or track?) leads directly from this to the feature below at TL00708512. (Note similar triangular feature recorded in Shutlanger/Paulerspury parishes at c.SP72934772). The bombing range may have lain north of this marker; if so its very approximate centre might be c.TL00088520. At c.TL00708512 is a trapezoidal small enclosure within the field immediatley north-west of Pilton Lodge. It contains a possible structure plus a white arrow with white dots or blobs at its perimeter and with two parralel white lines at base of arrow. Arrow points to the triangular feature described above. Aerial bombing range direction marker/indicator functioning with that described above?
