Full Description

{1}Possible military features set in field NW of Corby. Features comprise at least one earthwork penannular ditch and banked enclosure, one smaller similar enclosure, a rectangular 'enclosure' and several smaller indistinct features. Possible LAA site? May be the LAA site SMR No 8125, known from documentary sources at 2 locations a short distance to the E and W?

{2} Documentary reference to the searchlight battery; Appendix of War Diary details location of every S/L in their area (N of Grantham to E coast) due to a change in the system of numbering in 1942. Prefixes of old numbers make it possible to cross reference them to location statements. Rockingham old number WT.097A (ie 362 Baty, 41 S/L Regt); new number 261A

{3} For the LAA sites this document identifies the regiment as 27 LAA Regt RA, Bty 149; TP 489 & 415 Corby, Stewart & Lloyd with address at Shire Lodge, Corby
