Full Description

{1}Trench 4 lay across the line of a former field boundary still visible as a line of widely spaced mature trees and a slight earthwork consisting of a low bank and ditch. The ditch was dated to the C19th and contained china and glass. No other features in the area were present suggesting that this side of the town was not occupied during Roman or subsequent periods other than as agricultural land.
