Full Description

{1} S. Young reports that metal detectorists and he have found in excess of 100 sherds of pottery (mainly 1st - 2nd AD and some later wares); a possible coin and a fragment of a Saxon brooch. He also reports presence of small amount of iron slag and possible fragment of kiln/furnace lining. Fields concerned are part of a sand quarry and are due for extraction and destruction.
