Full Description

{1} Building I: Farmbuilding
4-bay, stone walls and gables, west wall formed from garden wall which gables abut, single build, stone thin coursed few large blocks, curved corner to south west (only visible externally), dressed stone door jambs and quoin to north west corner. Three trusses with ties, crossed rafters (now no ridge) and single side purlins lodged on block with timber lacing in gables. Doors front and back and no other openings, except in west wall a blocked splayed opening with ?arched top truncated by timber lintel - possible fireplace. Externally the stone work suggests possibility of older building rebuilt at time of rooting. Sloped outline to south wall of roof of formerly adjoining lean-to. Probably 19th century. First shown on OS 1st edition 25” plan of 1883.
