Full Description

{1} Building III: Stables
5 bay stone walls, with south wall rebuilt with brick piers and concrete block to form 5 stables: the brick piers seem to replace timber posts as in Building II. Half-hipped roof similar to other buildings, elm with corrugated asbestos covering. No obvious features can be observed in the external stone walls. East wall abuts north wall which appears to have formerly continued to east. Curved stonework at south east corner. 19th century with modern alterations. An earlier building is shown on the same site on a map of 1696. Traditional farm building converted to stables.
