Full Description

{1} Trench 1 was virtually archaeologically sterile containing only a heavily truncated pit and a gully or furrow (similar features came up in the other trenches). Neither feature contained any dating evidence. It seems likely that this part of the site has been heavily ploughed, so destroying any slight archaeological remains that might have existed.
