Full Description

{1} A park at Ashby Legers is indirectly mentioned in a deed of 3rd April 1458.

{3} The park probably occupied the western part of the parish. The 'Ashby Lodge Estate' occurs in 1680; Ashby Lodge at SP 555 691 was built in 1722;

{4, 5} The park was enclosed c.1458, but the extent of the emparkment was not established.
