Summary

Air photographs show an incoherent pattern of cropmarks including enclosures. Roman pottery was collected during fieldwalking survey c30m to the north of the cropmarks

{1}Cropmarks; 1970;

{2}Fieldwalking survey; Roman pottery found at TL02308020;(1);

{3} Enclosures and ditches immediately north of the village. Air photographs show an incoherent pattern of sub-rectangular enclosures and lengths of ditches covering about one hectare.

{5}Cropmark 1981, 2 parallel ditches (NCCAP:TL0280/13-15).

{6} The cropmarks of this Iron Age or Roman settlement and associated trackway, defined by parallel ditches, can be seen on HE Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken on 2nd June 2009. Some of these cropmarks have been mapped as part of the Northamptonshire NMP.

{7} TL 023801. Ro pottery found in 1964 and a third brass of Constantine found in 1955.
