Iron Age and Roman pottery was found during fieldwalking survey. Dark patches of soil were also noted.

Full Description

{1} Area of SP85535985, Engine Pond. Roman sherds found in 1962 among patches of dark soil.

{2} Iron Age and Roman sherds have been found at SP855598, associated with patches of dark soil.

{4} Fieldwalking in 1962 identified black patches and rubbish pits associated with Iron Age and Romano-British pot sherds. Found by Hollowell. Fieldname: Engine Pond.

{6} R Hollowell confirmed the site and gave the finds to Northampton Museum. Site under corn stubble; no finds made during investigation.
