Map
Type and Period (2)
Full Description
{1} No surface evidence or local knowledge of this deserted medieval village.
{2} Hemplow (?SP625787) appears in the second list of lost villages in this source: ie. those for which there is little evidence. (Nothing is visible on AP's of 1947)
{3} The suggestion of a DMV at Hemplow could not be substantiated by either surface evidence or local knowledge. Topographically it is an unlikely situation for a village.
