Summary

Air photographs show a pit alignment aligned east to west as well as an oval double-ditched enclosure, a rectilinear enclosure and a double-ditched ring ditch. The oval enclosure was not identified by the later NMP survey,

Full Description

{1} Ring ditches,enclosures and pit alignment (SP 726658),on Northampton Sand at 105m above OD.Air photographs (in NMR) show a pit alignment running W-E and traceable for 250m.It cuts an oval double-ditched enclosure which is also intersected by a small L-shaped length of ditch.To the S is a rectangular enclosure,and to the N a double ring ditch which has linear ditches running E and W from it.The E linear ditch appears to intersect several other features including a ditched trackway running SE.

{3} SP 726658 and SP 726656. Circle, and possible pit alignment found by aerial photography in 1967.

{7} These marks fall on level arable land. There are no surface indications.
