Full Description
{1} Baker description as "hamlet, now divided into Great and Little Purston" suggests a recent division.
{2} In late medieval times Kings Sutton parish contained a number of discrete settlements, Kings Sutton itself, Upper Astrop, Lower Astrop, Great Purston, Little Purston then a detached part of Newbottle parish, and Walton. Each has its own associated land unit.
