Two small iron Age gullies were found during topsoil stripping for the Wicken to Foxcote pipeline in 1993.

Full Description

{1} Two small gullies observed during topsoil stripping for pipeline development. Salvage recording revealed that one was preserved for approx 15m with the other at a right angle (but exposed for only 3m). Associated finds - small quantities of Iron Age pottery and bone. The two ditches/gullies are likely to be remnants of Iron Age domestic or agricultural enclosures. Two fragments of furnace lining were found. Grid reference SP74314116.
