Monument record 8063 - Former Park at Chacombe Priory

{2} Whole lordship enclosed - has been for near 100 years Charles Fox, Esq Lord of Manor. Seat built out of ruins of priory. At Dissolution of Monasteries Lordship granted to Michael Foxe, Esq.

{3} Chacombe Priory - shown as enclosed parkland in 1827.

{4} House only shown - owned by Charles Foxe, Esq.

{6} It was observed that the priory gounds on the west of the drive were once ridge and furrow and then an ornamental garden.
