Full Description

{5} Formal gardens and grounds at Barnwell Castle. The grounds were developed circa 1920 but probably have earlier origins. features include a rectangular lily pond set in lawns. Other features include shrubberies and flower borders. Early features include a tree screen planted in the 18th century.

{6} The formal gardens were laid out from 1913 to the 1920s by Horace Czarnikov and incorporate a raised walk constructed circa 1613 by Thomas Drew.
