Monument record 8210 - Probable Iron Age/Roman settlement, north-east of New England Farm

At least three conjoined ditched enclosures of probable Iron Age or Roman is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Located in a field NE of New England Farm, a subrectangular ditch up to 6 metres wide encloses an area about 46 x 45 metres. Conjoined on the E side of this is a possible rectilinear enclosure about 65 x 27 metres whose full extent appears to have been truncated by a modern field boundary as the east side is not recorded. Attached to the north side of this is a small subrectangular enclosure about 14 x 10 metres at its widest.

Located in a field about 386 metres NE of New England Farm and centred at TL 02056 70872, a subrectangular ditch up to 6 metres wide encloses an area about 46 x 45 metres. Conjoined on the E side of this is a possible rectilinear enclosure about 65 x 27 metres whose full extent appears to have been truncated by a modern field boundary as the east side is not recorded. Attached to the north side of this is a small subrectangular enclosure about 14 x 10 metres at its widest
