Full Description
{1}Owners from 1870 Rixon & Co and from 18th June 1883 Rixon's Iron & Brick Co. Ltd., The LNWR Working Timetable of November 1886 gives the quarries as closed. The same source lists a siding owned by W & Rixon and it is thought that quarry started in the 1870's. As can been seen little is known about the quarry or operators. It is thought that horses were used to pull the wagons on the site.
