Full Description

{1}Owner Thomas Walters commenced quarrying 1877 and closed in 1885. When the worked ceased the tramway was dismantled and the quarries were left as they were with no attempt at restoration. The area worked lay on the north side of the road from Great Addington to Ringstead and west of the LNWR Northampton to Peterborough line to which it was connected by the tramway. The course of the tramway is still clear as a bushy gullet.
