Full Description

{1} Various finds discovered whilst walking. Neolithic core or fabricated flints (maybe Bronze Age). Two flakes, one maybe has been retouched.
The glass bead is a damaged fragment of opaque dark blue glass bead. White trailed banding diagonally across outer face. There are broad parallels with the early Anglo-Saxon period (C5th-7th), however, it is thought that this piece is Roman.
Various pottery finds recovered from the field centred on SP676836. They date from late medieval to post medieval. All the finds were identified by Richard Pollard of Leicestershire County Council Musuem Services.
