Full Description

{1} Ring ditches recorded as cropmarks by RCHM:
(6) Ring ditch (TL 07489396), diam. 36 m.

(7) Ring ditch (TL 07559395), diam. 17 m.

(8) Double ring ditch (TL 07509390) consists of two concentric circles of 20 m. and 33 m. diams. A well-marked central pit is visible. The ring ditch lies immediately inside an oblong enclosure with rounded corners having a large gap on the south side

{2, 3} Recent cropmark photography reveals the cropmark of a second probable Prehistoric or Roman round barrow site, visible as a single ring ditch at TL 0751 9390. One half of this feature was originally interpreted as one end of the rectilinear enclosure; this is now shown to be open to the east although its northern side is attached to the double ring ditch

{5} Recent cropmark photography {6} reveals the cropmarks of possibly two probable Prehistoric or Roman round barrow sites, visible as possible ring ditches at TL 0764 9394 (HER 114/1/7) and TL 0760 9394 (HER 114/1/6?).
