Monument record 193/0/1 - Probable Romano-British Building

Fieldwalking survey has found a significant quantity of Roman pottery including Samian, 3rd and 4th century coins and dressed limestone indicate a considerable Roman building.

{1} Fine Roman site, probably a villa-farm, with substantial buildings to judge from the amount of dressed limestone debris. Coins of the 3rd and 4th centuries have been found, and Samian pottery as well as late 3rd century rim forms.

{4} Much Roman pottery including Samian, 3rd and 4th century coins and dressed limestone indicate a considerable Roman building.
