Full Description
{1} Unlocated medieval hermitage, possibly in Fotheringhay Wood. It existed before 1176; Patron Saltrey Abbey;
{2} There was a chantry chapel outside the church at Fotheringhay (Name TL0693), apparently founded by Balliol family "not improbably (by) Devorgvilla" (13th century), at the Hermitage. A hermitage was in existence at Fotheringhay in 1176
