Summary
Iron smelting site with dark central slag area. Much slag over all the west of this field on the ironstone. Fieldname: Middle Bloomfield. May extend into field on the west side of the road too.

Full Description
{1} Documentary; possible post-medieval metalworking; fieldname: Middle Bloomfield;
{2} Smelting represented by a significant find scatter. Iron Smelting site with dark central slag area. Much slag over all the west of this field on the ironstone. Also a few flints including a poor quality tanged arrowhead (BA). Needs more work for flints. Field called 'bloomery' so may be of medieval date.
