Abstract/Summary

Although the evaluation had uncovered the remains of a series of stone footings dating from the mid 13th century and the 17th, the developers decided to raise the ground level as the site was prone to flooding. The groundworks therefore did not affect any archaeological deposits with only modern make-up layers being disturbed. Any ancient remains would therefore been preserved in situ.
