Abstract/Summary

A desk-based assessment of a site off Beech Close, Desborough, was undertaken in August 2000. The site lies to the south of developed land to the south west of the parish church in Desborough. No archaeological remains are noted from the site itself. However, it is situated within 0.5km of several Saxon sites found within Desborough. A possible earthwork crossing the development site noted in the Sites and Monuments Record appeared from photographic evidence to date from the late 1960s or early 1970s.
