Abstract/Summary

A trial excavation ahead of proposed redevelopment of 1.9ha of land to the south-east of Deene End, Weldon identified the remains of medieval stone buildings, tenement plot boundaries and associated features. Ceramic evidence suggests that occupation at the site centres upon the 13th-15th centuries, although later post-medieval features were also encountered.
