Abstract/Summary

This desk-top study investigates the potential for the presence of significant archaeological remains at St Andrew's Hospital. Although there is no evidence of settlement in the area from the medieval period up until the foundation of the hospital. The presence of an early Anglo-Saxon cemetery was uncovered during the building of the hospital in 1836.
