Abstract/Summary
Crescentic bank, part of pre - Medieval enclosure? Between the hedge/scarp and the cutting made by the brook 50 metres from where hedge meets that along brook on west. There is clear ridge and furrow between these topographical elements, ploughed out/buried north of hedge. However, the western limit of the ridge and furrow is curved, visible north and south of the hedge. This site is south of the R-B sites excavated in the 1970’s (No report accompanying). (Nb, if not already known the site of ‘Top Lodge’, SP8770/6782, is currently being redeveloped – should there be any potential relating to R and B site)
