Abstract/Summary

A geophysical survey was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology in September 1992 and continued and completed in September 1993 of the terrace gardens situated within the retaining wall of the Castle. The investigation was undertaken for the purposes of identifying features relating to a formal garden design and other remains, which may have formed part of the upstanding monuments. The investigation comprised of both magnetometer and resistivity techniques.
