Abstract/Summary

No direct evidence exists for activity on the site before 1621. Even then, the evidence is circumstantial and it is assumed that an east-west road or track to the north of Big Green ran through the site. By 1775 it was occupied by a north-south track and possibly a pond. Since then there is no evidence of any structures having been present on the site.
