Abstract/Summary

An archaeological watching brief was carried out on land at Southbridge, Northampton to observe the excavation of trial pits and other ground work in August and September 1999. The trial pits showed that the former Lion Brewery and later developments had destroyed any archaeological remains on this site. No archaeological features or artefacts pre-dating the nineteenth century were observed during the excavation.
