Abstract/Summary

Evaluation trenches excavated confirmed the presence of late Iron Age/ early Roman features, as suggested by geophysical survey. They comprised a dispersed group of curving and penannular ditches. A relatively large quantity of iron slag suggests that iron working was a significant function of the site.
