Abstract/Summary
A topographical survey and the excavation of three test pits was carried out within the churchyard; a viewing hole was also cut into the wooden floor of the vestry. Beyond the exposure of the foundations of the church, only subsoil and grave earth were found; there was no evidence of a mound pre-dating the construction of the church.
