Abstract/Summary

(Various locations) Flint scatters of various tool types and waste products. Flint scatter covering an area of 60x185m. Two Mesolithic axe fragments were also found during ploughing between 1991-3. A small area of worked flint, including cores, flakes, blades and two scrapers. Flint scatters across most of a field but well dispersed due to ploughing. The flintwork consists of cores, flakes, blades, knoves and scrapers. Also one leaf shapen and one tanged and abrbed arrowhead (Various locations) A small Neolithic arrowhead made from brownish flint. A Neolithic laurel leaf point made from black flint. A tranchet axe measuring 90mm x 30mm tapering to 20m broad and 20m tapering to 3mm at the tip. A leaf shaped arrowhead made from black flint. A large mottled brown flake from a polished flint axe, reused as a scraper. Also cores, flakes, knives, blades, utilised flints and scrapers. Similar material was found at two other locations in the same field.
