Abstract/Summary

(Various locations within the parish) the following were located during fieldwalking. An area of approx 50m revealed building stone and Roman pottery from the 1-4th centuries. Pottery consisted of shelly wares, grey wares. Samian and colour-coated wares. Some sherds of mortaria with a white fabric. An area covering approx 30sq m in which a mixture of late Iron Age shelly wares, Roman shelly wares, grey wares, Samian and colour coated wares, possibly with some building stone, was observed during ploughing.
