Date/Year 1993-4

Abstract/Summary

Ditches, gulleys and pits produced evidence of medieval activity on the site. A range from 11th to 13th century is likely. Linear features on the site appear to be property or field boundaries, their alignment suggested that the present course of St. Osyth's Lane is a relatively recent development.
