Abstract/Summary

A desk-based assessment was undertaken at Brockhall in Northamptonshire found that the two proposed development areas seem to be within the medieval settlement. From the earliest map evidence of 1672 to 1900, both sites can be seen to be regularly affected by the many changes to the manor's building and parkland. The maps show that within the two areas they are sometimes clear, sometimes within tree planting areas and occasionally have buildings, pathways and boundary walls.
